Kyle Nielsen is a 25 year old Atlanta native currently residing and working out of Chicago, IL. His work focuses on geometric abstractions fueled by mix of architecture and jazz music. The work is based solely on the relationships between form and color as they exist in a space. The two major themes of this work are contrast and scale. When the themes are applied to the idea that each individual shape is representational of a human soul, a second, non formal layer, can be read in each piece. His background is rooted in murals, sign painting and illegal street art/graffiti. He has shown work and in various U.S. cities and abroad including Berlin, Germany and Lima, Peru. He loves being a part of mural festivals.
